Mission Statement of Gamma Phi Beta
Our mission is to foster a nurturing environment that provides women
the opportunity to achieve their potential through life-long commitment
to intellectual growth, individual worth, and service to humanity.
Since 1915, the women of the Sigma Chapter of the University of Kansas
have been striving to promote the highest type of womanhood
which was originally established by Frances E. Haven, E. Adeline
Curtis, Helen M. Dodge, and Mary A. Bingham at Syracuse University in 1874.
